Ph.D. stands for Doctor of Philosophy. A person who attains the degree of Ph.D. is automatically awarded the academic title Of “Doctor”.

What are Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D.?

One can go through full time/part time Ph.D. programme in the discipline of Arts, Science, Commerce, Humanities, Management, Law, Medical, Engineering, IT, Finance, and many other areas relevant to master degree as UGC recognized University.

Course Duration: 2 to 5 years

Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D.:

• Candidate must possess a Master degree in any discipline with 55% marks.
• Direct admission to Ph.D. after Bachelor’s degree is offered by IITs, NITs & ASCIR. OR in some cases, M Phil is a prerequisite for doing Ph.D.
• The candidates must clear the NET for lecturership & Junior Research fellowship conducted by the federal research organization, Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) & University Grants Commission (UGC). 
• Selection process: candidates should clear the entrance exam conducted by Universities. And after that, the shortlisted candidates are selected by interview.      
• Subjects and specialization areas offered for Ph.D. are related to health, humanities, commerce & management & science & many more.
