National Blindness Control Programme has released notification of recruitment for following various posts for Government Hospital of Gujarat State on contractual bases. 1) Job Title: Eye Surgeon
    Number of Vacancies: 07

2) Job Title: Ophthalmic Assistant
    Number of Vacancies: 15

3) Job Title: Eye Donation Councilor
    Number of Vacancies: 02

4) Job Title: Data Entry Operator
    Number of Vacancies: 04

What is the Eligibility Criteria to Apply?

Educational Qualification:
  • For Eye Surgeon: M.S. / M.D. in Ophthalmology & D.O.M.S. (MCI recognized) after PG degree has been obtained.
  • For Ophthalmic Assistant: Two years Diploma course in Optometry or trained as a Ophthalmic Assistant in any of the recognized Government Hospital as per guidelines of NPCB.
  • For Eye Donation Councilor: Graduate degree in Sociology / Social Work / Arts / Science recognized by respective University.
  • For Data Entry Operator: Graduate in Commerce (Account) with Diploma / Certificate in Computer application Knowledge of Computer Software. Basic skills in office management. good typing and data entry skills in English & Gujarati.
